Helpful Information about COVID-19 updates, policies, and options
The safety of everyone who walks through our door is the highest priority for Hoag. To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and consistent with recent California Public Health Orders, Hoag has adopted a policy that all employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 unless a medical or religious exemption has been granted.
Interviews are terrifying. I get it. You finally get a call back from that company you love, and now the only thing standing in the way of you and a job offer is an hour-long conversation with a complete stranger. Even if you are the most charming and charismatic person on the planet, there is no guarantee you and your interviewer will “vibe”. Not to mention the average interview-to-hire ratio is 5:1. That means four other candidates have an equal shot at the job you so badly want.
So, what can you do? Prepare like your life depended on it. That’s the first step. Next, remember you are interviewing them, as much as they are interviewing you. Conversations aren’t static. They flow, and if you are paying attention you should be able to course correct if you think things aren’t going so well. Do these plus follow the advice in this month’s issue, and you’ll increase your chances of hearing the four words every job seeker wants, “When can you start?”
